The Project
In a project totalling 15 months, David Chidwick of L&L Homes has recently completed the conversion of these agricultural barns and buildings in Petworth, into new family homes.
As a previous customer of Dale Joinery, David knew exactly where to turn to when planning out his latest development. “I have used Dale a number of times now and always prefer to, when the project allows” David comments.
“When we were first planning the works and looking into the windows and doors and the different styles available, we were told by the planning authority that they wanted a timber/oak effect, to suit the properties and their setting. We knew therefore the Dale would be an appropriate choice” David explains.
With new timber windows and doors finished in a ‘Dark Oak’ stain to give the desired effect sought after by the planning authority, David and his team have developed authentically styled new homes for aspiring homeowners, as well as one of the dwellings for himself.
“I have always been happy with the Dale Joinery windows and doors, but I must also comment on how pleased I am with their service at every stage of the project. Sarah has been especially helpful, through to the aftercare and the engineers are always very knowledgeable and helpful. It certainly gives me and the new homeowners here confidence in Dale Joinery” David explains.
Patio Doors
A number of the new homes boast stylish timber patio doors in a ‘Dark Oak’ stain finish. Smooth to slide and a pleasure to use, the new doors glide with ease, providing flexibility and an element of open living to the new dwellings.
Entrance Doors
Throughout the development, our ‘Pomeroy’ style of timber front door, with some variations including a fully glazed sidelight were specified to further complement the barn architecture of the new homes.
Flush Casement Windows
Timeless timber flush casement windows without glazing bars have been designed to maximise natural light in each of the new homes, with a look and finish that adds further authenticity to the newly converted barns.
Feature Casement Window
For the largest unit on the development, and the only one with a second floor, a stunning, bespoke, oversized feature window is the centrepiece of the living room, styled to look like a traditional barn window.
