When Steve Grant and Mike Keeble first met in Sri Lanka on a volunteer holiday in 2005, rebuilding property destroyed or damaged by the Boxing Day Tsunami that struck Asia so badly, little did they think some 10 years later, they would be at the helm of a company renowned for creating quality, contemporary properties on Britain’s South Coast.
Wittering Properties specialises in building a small number of exclusive, upmarket homes each year on the South Coast in the Wittering area of West Sussex for those who dream of living by the sea.
“As we only build a limited number of homes each year, our approach is to ensure every property is built to the highest standard across every element of the project,” said Steve.
That attention to detail on their build includes the windows and doors and the company has been working with Dale on a number of its coastal-inspired projects.
“We first discovered Dale a couple of years ago when someone I knew in Wittering who was working on their own development invited me over. They had just had just had a range of Dale’s doors and windows fitted and I was really impressed.”
“I started talking to them and straight away what stood out was not just the quality of their products but their proactive customer service. We are all about quality and it’s vitally important that any company we work with has the same ethos and that is certainly the case with Dale,” said Steve.
Before using Dale, on developments where timber windows and doors were used, Steve would previously use a local joinery firm to make the windows and doors as required.
“They would be delivered to site but then we would need to finish and paint them – and when you are on the coast with the sea and salt air blowing in, it’s not something you want to be doing. The Dale windows arrive on site on the agreed date, fully finished to the specification requested, completely sealed and ready to fit, saving us masses of time.”
“We are really well looked after through the whole process by Dale which is very important to us and have fitted entrance doors, windows and door sets on our projects including the bi-folds which are absolutely fantastic,” added Steve.
Flush Casement Windows
Traditional new flush casement windows feature throughout this high specification home. Finished in the shade ‘Pure White’, the new windows were designed to maximise natural light, and to reduce external noise for peaceful living.
Bi-Fold Doors
Due to the nature of these properties being by the coast, bi-fold doors were the ideal solution to open up the living areas and let the coastal breeze through the home.
Entrance Doors
A tintagel entrance door completes the look at the front of the new home, finished in the shade of ‘Cement Grey’ which is a perfect colour complement to the render finish of the home.
