The Project
Behind a quiet cul-de-sac in rural Lincolnshire, on a paddock owned by Robert Spenceley, an impressive new home has been built for he and his family.
Built to a barn-style design, this expansive home has family and a connection to the outdoors at its heart.
Having gained permission for his plans, Robert has worked in conjunction with his neighbours to improve the land and its surroundings.
Visiting the National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC) in Swindon, and using his own experience from being in the construction industry, Robert was able to identify the Dale Joinery product and that of a competitor as frontrunners, “the Dale offering was more competitively priced and had better details, within a recognisably good quality product.”
“I’ve been very satisfied with all aspects of the Dale product and service throughout” Robert comments.
“On a project of this scale, involving this many products, there were the inevitable small service issues but from Dale’s part, all of these have been addressed without quibble and to my complete satisfaction.”
Entrance Door
An impressive double height entrance door creates the barn conversion style, using a twin set of doors, matching upper windows and sidelights. Finished in ‘Anthracite Grey’ externally and the lighter shade of ‘Signal White’ internally, along with a minimal stainless steel escutcheon.
Stable Door
A charming and practical stable door has been used by the owners for one of the utility areas of the house. Matching some other doors, this has an ‘Anthracite Grey’ finish to the outside and is accompanied by a stainless steel ‘Nitro’ handle and escutcheon.
French Doors
Mirroring the front of the property, this double height feature at the rear contains two sets of French doors; one opening to the garden from the dining room and the upper set from the master bedroom utilising a Juliet balcony. Factory painted in ‘Anthracite Grey’ and accompanied by a satin chrome handle, also featuring traditional, planked lower panels.
Bi-Fold Doors
Multiple sets of Bi-Fold doors feature across the rear of the house, at ground floor level. Matching the windows, the Bi-Fold door sets are finished in ‘Cream’ and ‘Signal White’ internally, and feature ‘Nitro’ handles in 316 coastal grade stainless steel.
Flush Casement Windows
Flush casement windows have been used throughout in double and triple formations for a uniform appearance. All utilise the contemporary style Inline handle in 316 coastal grade stainless steel and have a ‘Cream’ finish externally along with the shade of ‘Signal White’ internally.
