Transformation of 70’s UPVC Ugly Duckling
The windows and doors are truly stunning
“We are really happy with the fit and quality of the windows and doors. They are all truly stunning and have transformed the property from a rather sad looking 70s caravan to something we’re rather proud of,”

The Project
We love hearing from customers when our made to measure timber windows and doors help make a major transformation to their properties. Whether it’s a new build, refurbishment or extension, the reality is that new timber windows and doors can literally change the way a property looks.
And when they share that impact with us – it’s great to see the results.
The most recent customers to do this are Jane and Julian Clements, who purchased a 70’s detached property in Leighton Buzzard that was in major need of a transformation.
The detached property was classically 70s and in Julian and Jane’s own words: “A rather sad looking 70’s caravan,” in need of TLC and with uPVC windows and doors throughout.
Having been introduced to the Dale Joinery team by David Smith of Jewson in Leighton Buzzard, Jane and Julian opted for a range of products including:
Together, the Dale Joinery team and David Smith at Jewson Leighton Buzzard, progressed their order. As with every Dale Joinery product manufactured, all of the windows and doors were made to Jane and Julian’s specific requirements and arrived on site fully finished ready to fit and enjoy.
And what a transformation they helped create, giving Julian and Jane’s home a warmth and a charm hardly imaginable from the original house.
It’s a transformation Julian and Jane are delighted with.
Flush Casement Windows
Flush casement windows from Dale Joinery were specified throughout, with a dual colour finish of ‘Concrete Grey’ externally and ‘Signal White’ internally.
French Doors
A beautiful set of French doors in the same dual colour finish as the new windows were also installed in the home. The doors have flat panels, to give the doors a contemporary look along with the sleek new windows.
