The Project
Having lived in the local area for many years, when this former Cambridgeshire pub went onto the market, the Wrights snapped at the opportunity to purchase it, with the view of transforming it into their family home.
“We used to live in one of the neighbouring houses, and were always aware of the potential this property had, so when it came on the market, the time was right!” Mr Wright explains.
At the time of purchase, the property was in a dire state, and so the Wright’s began what became an extensive, 18-month refurbishment and extension project.
Part of the works included converting the old double garage into their new dream kitchen, and a new front façade, with a sleek render finish, which perfectly complements the painted brickwork around the rest of the home.
“We became aware of Dale via Carlo Infanti and Paul Duncan, who have used Dale multiple times for their own projects. This gave us the confidence and assurance we needed in specifying Dale for our home.”

With all of the works going on, the Wright’s have not been in the property for long and are still finishing some smaller projects. However, with the main extension complete, they have been able to fully settle in and begin to enjoy their new family home.

Sash Windows
Beautiful sash windows, including these large triple sashes, were specified across the home. Dual finished with ‘Pebble Grey’ externally and ‘Pure White’ internally, the finish and style complements the new extension and façade at the front of the home, while their traditional look works perfectly with the older parts of the property at the rear.
Entrance Door
Our ‘Lulworth’ style front door, with a toplight was the perfect look for the entrance to the home. This timeless style creates the perfect entrance to the Wright’s home, complemented with Black hardware.
Stable Door
As the entrance to their new utility room, our stable door creates a warm, country style entrance that adds charm and character to this already, beautiful home.
